Mr. Nazir Ahmad Alie Kamanda Bongay serves as the Chief Fire Officer of the National Fire Force. Recruited in 1993, he has over three decades of progressive experience in fire service operations, administration, and emergency management. He has held several key positions, including Staff Officer, Fire Prevention Officer, Head of Operations, Head of Administration, Assistant Chief Fire Officer, and Deputy Chief Fire Officer.

He holds a BSc in Education from Njala University College and an MEd from Njala University. His professional development includes specialized training in firefighting and rescue from Sierra Leone and the UK, emergency affairs from China, and international disaster management and urban search and rescue from Singapore.

Mr. Bongay is a two-time recipient of the Best Firefighter Award and a decorated member of the Order of the Rokel. His leadership is marked by dedication to public safety, operational excellence, and service to the nation.
