- To contribute to the advancement of good governance, democracy, and socio-economic development in Sierra Leone through the effective implementation of the APRM framework. We seek to achieve this by conducting comprehensive country reviews, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting evidence-based policy reform.

Profile
Mr. Mohamed Sheriff is an experienced governance and diplomacy professional who currently serves as Executive Secretary of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in Sierra Leone. Prior to this role, he served as Political Advisor at the U.S. Embassy, where he played a key role in resolving Sierra Leone’s largest commercial dispute. He has also contributed his expertise as a Research and Monitoring Specialist at the National Commission for Democracy and as a consultant to UNDP, UNICEF, and Amnesty International.
Mr. Sheriff holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy, an MA in Peace and Development Studies, and a BSc in Peace and Conflict Studies. He has earned multiple accolades, including Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards and several “Prestigious Extra Mile Awards” for his exemplary leadership and service. His core competencies include political analysis, strategic planning, institutional reform, and stakeholder engagement.
