Hon. Salima Monorma Bah

Profile
Madam Haja Salima Monorma Bah is the inaugural and youngest Cabinet Minister to head the newly established Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation in Sierra Leone.
She holds an LLB from the University of Wales (2011–2013) and a Master’s degree (Hons) in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from Columbia Law School, New York. A licensed legal practitioner in Sierra Leone, Madam Bah previously served as State Counsel at the Law Officers Department and was seconded to the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI), where she led key UNICEF-funded digital innovation projects.
Her dynamic engagement in the tech ecosystem has earned her international recognition. She has represented Sierra Leone at high-level platforms including the SDG Digital Event, USA-Africa Business Week, and the Digital Almaty Forum in Kazakhstan. She has collaborated with major global stakeholders such as Meta, Microsoft, the African Development Bank, and the governments of Nigeria and China.
Madam Bah brings to her role a deep understanding of digital transformation, governance, and innovation policy. She is committed to advancing President Bio’s vision of leveraging digital tools to drive national development and transition Sierra Leone to middle-income status through inclusive and impactful technology-driven initiatives.
