Mr. Mohamed Fuaad Daboh is the Director General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), a position he has held since 2018. A seasoned administrator with a background in human resources and public sector management, Mr. Daboh holds a degree from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Under his leadership, NASSIT has undergone key institutional reforms aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, transparency, and investment prudence. He has championed comprehensive audits—financial, technical, procurement, and management—to streamline internal systems and restore public confidence in the institution.
Mr. Daboh’s leadership has brought significant improvements in service delivery and social security coverage across Sierra Leone. His commitment to sustainable and strategic investment was internationally recognized in January 2020, when he was appointed Vice-Chairperson of the Technical Commission on Investment of Social Security Funds by the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
In June 2024, he was honored with the award for Most Outstanding Excellence in Social Security Administration at the 3rd Edition of the African Public Service Optimum Awards held in Accra, Ghana. At the event, he delivered a keynote address on “Transforming Africa Through Public Service Professionalism and Excellence,” highlighting the critical role of integrity, accountability, and innovation in driving sustainable public sector growth.
Mr. Daboh continues to steer NASSIT toward inclusive, effective, and modern social security systems, contributing to national development and improved welfare outcomes for citizens.
